I am still bouncing this idea around of the power of three. Here’s one I made earlier.
I was chatting recently about ‘early adopters’ and ‘first movers.’ My view is this. What exactly do people sit and wait for? Sure you can sit and wait for iPhone274 but why would you want to miss out on that journey?
I guess relevance and need are key reasons. I’ll chuck in a consequence of sitting and waiting; extinction.
One of the advantages in this new digital world of adopting early is you get the choice of the best seats at the best prices. You get access to expertise, you help build ‘the model.’ Yes that’s right. You need us but we need you too…how cool is that?! That is why I bang on about collaboration.
Better to start your ‘journey’ when there is time and calm, rather than reacting to events and panicing. That ‘calm time’ is when you shape your future before your competitors have even considered theirs. It is (and should be), low cost high learning time, experimentation, discovering what works and what doesn’t. Tapping in to people who have knowledge.
I have never said legal services online is the finished article. If you are sitting and waiting for the finished article then you are going to have a long, long wait because your attitude is wrong. It will never be finished. Few things in life are. It will constantly evolve, refine and improve by doing the three things above. Then doing them again, and again…
footnote: time is the tormentor of my design so if the resolution of this image is not perfect please accept my apology.
